Mariha Tahsin

Dr. Mariha Tahsin is a Senior Economist with Alberta Treasury Board and Finance and a development practitioner with over a decade of experience in public policy, poverty alleviation, and applied economic research.

Dr. Tahsin previously led SAJIDA Foundation’s SUDIN program, where she transformed health, education, social protection, and microfinance interventions into a data-driven, adaptive system tailored to the needs of individual households. Her research focuses on using economics, machine learning, and innovative data sources to address challenges in public finance, poverty reduction, economic measurement, and evidence-based policymaking.
