Zia Hassan

Zia Hassan is a Germany-based Bangladeshi economist, political analyst, and influential public intellectual known for his critical commentary on South Asian economics and politics. He is the author of the highly acclaimed book “Unnoyon Bibhram” (The Mirage of Development), a rigorous critique of Bangladesh’s GDP-centric growth narrative and banking vulnerabilities.
